I am currently taking orders, so place one now while I am still available!

elcome to the website of A Medieval Craftsman! I am a jack-of-all-trades, delving into crafts involving many materials used in the Middle Ages. First and foremost, I am an armourer, making munitions-grade armour at economy prices. I also work a lot with leather, making pouches, shoes and whatever else might be desired by the customer. I work mostly with custom orders, working with the customer to get as close to what they want as possible. You can see pictures of past custom projects on my gallery page.

I also have a stock of products that are easy to make, and therefore either in-stock, or with a relatively quick turnaround. These pieces come as described, although you can request any changes to any product you see. Generally, the price of custom work will be a little bit more expensive than basic items. You can see these products on this page, and also see whether they are in-stock. From time to time, I may have used items on sale available as well.

As to who I am, my name is Peter Koby, a 21 year old student. I started armouring around 2002, when I made a mail vest in two and a half weeks. I was somewhat involved with the SCA for about a year (and am hoping to eventually get back into it); my persona is James Smith, basically a jack-of-all-trades from the 1350s. That's the signature you will see in my blog. I am still semi-involved with Dagorhir, in the Kingdom of Rotharin. I am not much a fighter; I am the webmaster and supporter, mostly. My Dagorhir persona is Halfdan Hravnsson, a viking from Denmark who is a jack-of-all-trades (see a trend?).
